On 17 January 2025, Walailak University organized an out-of-class English skill enhancement activity in an edutainment style under the title Play and Learn PlearnEnglish. The activity aimed to enhance English learning through fun and interactive methods, including vocabulary building with crossword games, pronunciation practice using Jenga blocks, and role-playing exercises such as ordering ice cream. These engaging activities were designed to help students develop greater familiarity and confidence in using English. Additionally, the event featured a promotional booth for an English drama performance by members of the English Drama Club.

The activity has been organized twice, on Friday, January 10 and Friday, January 17, 2025, attracting more than 300 student participants. It is scheduled to continue every Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the ST Building lobby, with an official opening ceremony planned for Friday, January 31, 2025.

Furthermore, this initiative serves as a post-admission mentoring program, playing a key role in supporting students’ smooth transition into university life and fostering a positive learning environment.
