WU Hospital organizes the Free HPV Vaccination Scheme for Female Students

Between 20–22 November 2024, Walailak University Hospital organized the HPV Vaccination Scheme for female students for the 2024 academic year at Lecture Building 6. The service was provided through a One Stop Service system, designed to enhance convenience and reduce waiting times. The initiative also served as a mentoring scheme aimed at supporting and promoting educational access for female students. In total, 3,874 female students received the HPV vaccine during the campaign.

The initiative aimed to prevent cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases, while promoting the overall health and quality of life of female students. This effort reflects Walailak University’s strong commitment to health promotion and disease prevention among its community.

Associate Professor Dr. Asst. Prof. Pavarud Puangsri, Acting Director of Walailak University Hospital, and Asst. Prof. Kamlai Somrak, Acting Deputy Director, were present at the vaccination site to observe service operations and encourage the medical staff involved in delivering this important public health initiative.
