On 18 November 2024, Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with six prominent schools: Mr. Chanchai Chuenprasang, Director of Thepmittayakarn School; Ms. Sriwiang Aphornrat, Director of Thida Maephra School; Mr. Sithiporn Nilphat, Director of Thasala Prasit School; Ms. Sopha Saiwasi, Director of Southern Preparatory School; Mr. Sompong Panhong, Director of Kalyani School, Nakhon Si Thammarat; and Mr. Natthawut Rattanarun, Director of Benchamarachuthit School. University executives, faculty members, staff, students, and school representatives attended the ceremony at the Huatan Meeting Room, Walailak University Medical Center.

The collaboration aims to enhance educational quality and better prepare students for higher education. It also seeks to empower Walailak University students—including female students—by ensuring equal access to underrepresented fields, providing clear career pathways, and offering mentorship programs to help them navigate workplace challenges and seize future career opportunities.
