On 20 June 2024, Walailak University, through its various schools and colleges, organized the “Walailak to School” event at Petcharik Demonstration School. The event aimed to build networks, engage with high school students, and introduce the programs offered by Walailak University.

A total of 380 students from grades 10 to 12 participated. Distinguished attendees included Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University; Dr. Kanop Ketchart, Mayor of Nakhon Si Thammarat; Dr. Suchart Iadwong, Principal of Petcharik Demonstration School; Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod and Associate Professor Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Vice Presidents of Walailak University; along with lecturers, teachers, and staff.

During the event, President Sombat Thamrongthanyawong highlighted the development and achievements of Walailak University and delivered a keynote lecture titled “Aiming Towards Goals Ambitiously: How to Study Successfully and Happily.” Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod also gave a talk, “Skills in Teaching English for Excellence on a Global Scale,” sharing practical tips for effective English learning.

The event featured booths and exhibitions designed to motivate students, particularly female students, to explore fields where they are traditionally underrepresented, such as engineering and architecture.
