On 6 January 2024, WU students participated in the “Transgender Nakhon Si Thammarat University Competition 2023, held as part of the “Nakhon Si Thammarat Higher Education Network Sports Event.” The students achieved the following awards:

• Mr. Theeraphat Klangwang, a student from the School of Information Studies, 1st Place – Mr. Nakhon Si Thammarat University 2023
• Ms. Sirithida Rakteaw, a student from the School of Public Health, 1st Runner-Up – Miss Nakhon Si Thammarat University 2023
• Mr. Surachit Imboonsu, a student from the School of Allied Health Sciences, 1st Runner-Up – Transgender Nakhon Si Thammarat University 2023

The event provided an important platform to recognize the achievements and contributions of transgender individuals within higher education and society. Through supporting initiatives like this, Walailak University promotes an inclusive academic environment where students of all gender identities are valued and empowered.
