On 16 September 2024, the WU Botanic Park, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Kanlayanapaphon, Acting Director of the Botanic Park, and the project team, welcomed executives and staff from Museum Siam, including Mr. Pracha Suksabai, Acting Director of Museum Network Development, Mr. Thanawut Limsuwan Kasem, Knowledge Manager, and Ms. Pairin Maneetip, Knowledge Manager.
The visit aimed to study and review the collaborative museum network under the MOU signed between the two organizations, which focuses on developing personnel and museum learning resources as centers for education, experiential learning, and fostering creative thinking in society.
During the visit, Museum Siam provided guidance on museum management and offered support in personnel development and knowledge sharing to help ensure that the Sirin Museum at Walailak University is fully prepared to open. The museum is expected to become a leading natural history learning center in Thailand.
The construction project is part of Walailak University’s initiative to promote constructing buildings on brownfield sites, supporting the SDGs—particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
