The School of Political Science and Public Administration, the School of Liberal Arts, the Center of Excellence on Women and Social Security, and the Center of Geosocial and Cultural Research for Sustainable Development, Walailak University, are pleased to announce the organization of an academic forum titled “20th Anniversary of the Violence in the Southern Border Provinces: Reassessing our Knowledge of What Happened.”
This event is part of the Walailak Research Convention 2024 and will be held on 29 March 2024, from 09.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., at the Sithammarat Conference Room, Architecture and Design Building, Walailak University.
The forum marks two decades since the resurgence of violence in Thailand’s southern border provinces. It aims to bring together scholars, experts, and long-term observers of social and cultural dynamics in the region to collectively review, reflect upon, and reassess the changes, dynamics, and evolving body of knowledge related to the lives and experiences of people in the area.
Those interested in attending and engaging in discussions with distinguished speakers and experts are warmly invited to register by scanning the QR code provided.
This activity forms part of Walailak University’s initiative to promote cross-sectoral dialogue about the SDGs for sustainable development.
