Walailak University Empowers Displaced People through SDG Literacy and Workplace Safety Education

On 29 August 2025, Walailak University, through its Center for Academic Services (CAS), organized a free educational program aimed at promoting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) literacy among displaced people. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to inclusive education and community empowerment, ensuring that vulnerable populations gain access to essential knowledge for personal and professional well-being.

At the event, CAS staff distributed informative brochures on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, offering practical guidance on workplace safety, protective measures, and proper movement techniques. These resources were tailored in simple and accessible language, making it easier for participants to understand and apply critical safety practices in their work environments.

Beyond sharing educational materials, the program fostered interactive learning and engagement, allowing participants to ask questions, clarify doubts, and practice safe work techniques under guidance. By combining SDG knowledge with practical skills, Walailak University aims to equip displaced people not only with awareness of global development goals but also with tangible tools to protect their health and work responsibly, contributing to their long-term empowerment and integration into society.

This initiative serves as one of the dedicated outreach educational activities on the SDGs for the wider community, which could include alumni, local residents, and displaced people.
