THA SALA, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 17 August 2026 — Walailak University, led by Miss Anutsara Ruengmak and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawares Funoi, lecturers and researchers from the School of Liberal Arts, conducted an educational outreach activity to transfer knowledge to partner schools, with Chumchon Mai School serving as a model school that has actively and continuously participated in the project.
Through sustained collaboration, Chumchon Mai School has expanded and shared its knowledge and practices, developing into a Learning Center for the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and a tangible model of a Sufficiency Economy School. This initiative followed a needs assessment conducted among partner schools in July.
The activity was honored by the participation of Mr. Faisol Yeekob, Director of Chumchon Mai School, and Mr. Sunan Jehloh, who served as speakers and shared best practices. They also participated in the handover of integrated learning materials and a curriculum incorporating the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy to two partner schools: Ban Song Phraek School Mitraphap 92 and Wat Sa Pradit School.
The learning materials were designed and developed based on the existing potential and needs of each school to enhance the effectiveness of learning. The materials emphasize knowledge and learning related to the Sufficiency Economy while also strengthening students’ third-language skills through the integration of Chinese agricultural vocabulary. Students majoring in Chinese and Thai for Communication also participated in the activities to promote interactive learning.
This initiative represents an important mechanism for applying the University’s knowledge and innovations to address challenges and support community development. It contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, while also supporting Walailak University’s UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (ED5) initiatives to sustainably enhance the quality of life of young people and surrounding communities.
