MUEANG, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 23 August 2026 —  Walailak University, led by Dr. Kamontip Klaibanmai, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, together with Asst. Prof. Theerawat Klaokliang and Mr. Pattanasak Muangchan, lecturers and researchers from the School of Liberal Arts, conducted fieldwork to collect data and gather community perspectives. The activities included Baseline and Stakeholder Mapping, In-depth Data Collection on community livelihoods and occupations, and Validation and Perception Surveys. The team also held meetings and coordinated with relevant stakeholders to establish a framework for in-depth activities and promote meaningful community participation.

The team subsequently conducted field coordination and discussions with Mr. Dej Somjit, Imam of Nurul Mubeen Mosque, to exchange perspectives, gather recommendations, and establish a participatory process with religious leaders and the mosque committee. This collaboration aims to prepare for the collection of information on the community’s identity, way of life, culture, and history, which will be used to develop an educational eBook entitled “Stories and Identity of the Ban Suan Maphrao Mosque Community within the Heritage Landscape around Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan Temple.”
