WU staff has done fieldwork for occupational rehabilitation in NST after flooding.

On December 16-18, 2020., the academicians of The Agricultural Production and Service Center, School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry, joined with The Center for Academic Service for science, technology, and innovation consultations with community’s leadership in order to revive the agriculturists after this target area suffered from disastrous floods under the support of various agencies.

The activities were to advise all information regarding the Trichoderma and restore agriculture from disastrous floods. Besides, the staff gave the NST-009 Trichoderma to all community’s leadership in the areas below.

  1. 1. Wang Ang sub district, Cha Uat, Nakhon Si Thammarat

The staff had visited various places in the subdistrict, such as Ban Lang Ai Mee Border Patrol Police, Bankhuanmit school, Bannongnuntree school, and Bankuanmeechai Border Patrol Police school. These places are under the project of raising the safe local vegetable for supporting community – based tourism. Additionally, this project was supported by the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board and The Royal-initiated Pak Phanang River Basin Development Administration and Coordination Center.

  1. Taling Chan sub district, Tha Sala district and Khlong Noi sub district, Pak Phanang district of Nakhon Si Thammarat

The next areas were under the Bio-Agriculture safe project subsidized by Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). These places were located at Ban Taling Chan, Taling Chan sub district, Tha Sala district and Ban Sangwiman, Khlong Noi sub district, Pak Phanang district of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Incidentally, this activity was in line with the well-being holistic community by applying the WU HAPPY TREE model consisting of good career, good health, good resources and environment, good education, and a good cultural society. In order to strengthen food sustainability and encourage sustainable agriculture for communities, the Center for Academic Service would like to express gratitude to the faculty, academics, communities’ representatives, and the agencies in the areas for making this event successful.
