          On Wednesday, 26 January 2022, Assistant Professor Dr. Amonsak Sawusdee, Director of The Center for Academic Services together with Dr. Pongpan Compan, School of Management, Walailak University, arranged a meeting to exchange information about elevating the education quality of a model child development center with HighScope Curriculum on the project “The 2nd Early Childhood Education Equity Project: ECEEP” under collaboration with Thaiburi Subdistrict Administration Organization.
          The momentous project has been continuously operated under the mission stated, “Providing academic services to develop the communities and help in solving problems within the framework of Holistic area based community development project in the fiscal year of 2022”. It focuses on developing research to be the information for setting policies involving early childhood education equivalency in Thailand and increasing the completion rate for local early childhood education with HighScope Curriculum, which emphasizes active learning.  
          Walailak University has created partnerships with 392 early childhood development centers under 154 Subdistrict Administration Organizations,  Nakhon Si Thammarat in achieving the project with a duration of 5 years.
          The ECEEP is associated with the SDGs goal 4 “Quality Education” and goal 17 “Partnerships for the goals”. It aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong opportunities for all. And achieve the target of 4.2 by 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care, and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education. The ECEEP realizes that the key to success in driving the project toward the sustainable development goals is cooperation. The ECEEP operates the project by building the partnership from various sectors to move the project, such as Local Child Development Center, Local Administrative Organization, Provincial Office for Local Administration, Private Sectors, and Walailak University.
          In the meeting, Assistant Professor Dr. Amonsak Sawusdee presented the guidelines and overall operation of the project. After that, Dr. Pongpan Compan, Head of the project, reported the progress of the project and had a chance of exchanging ideas with the authorities of the Thaiburi Subdistrict Administration Organization. In addition, the organization asserted that they would be facilitating on the matter of human resources, academic knowledge, and expenditure to their fullest extent in enhancing early childhood education in the subdistrict.
