Addressing Occupational Health Issues Among the Agricultural Workers in Pak Phanang District and Cha-uat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat

On 24 and 31 May 2022, Asst. Prof. Jiraphat Nawarat, Deputy Director of Walailak University Hospital and Lecturer at the School of Allied Health Sciences and the working group of the Center for Academic Service, Walailak University, held outreach projects to provide health education for raising potential and community economy to the agriculturists, community enterprise group members, and representatives of local government units in, Khlong Noi subdistrict, Pak Phanang district and Wang Ang subdistrict, Cha-Uat district, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The activities were as follows:

  • Preparing for Fitness Testing
  • Blood Pressure Measurement
  • Heart Rate Measurement
  • Pre-Activity and Post-Activity Knowledge Assessment
  • Monitoring the Project Results through an Online Platform with Activity-based Learning

In addition, the projects were operated in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, including SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, especially by reducing the number of deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and environmental pollution or contamination, and strengthening the capacity of all countries, in particular developing countries, for early warning, risk reduction, and management of national and global health risks.
