The Teacher Development Unit of Walailak University collaborated with the Education Program, School of Liberal Arts, to conduct training program to enhance English language skills and knowledge for education personnel.

          On August 19, 2023, the Center for Academic Services (CAS), acting as the Teacher Development Unit of Walailak University, in collaboration with the Education Program, School of Liberal Arts, hosted the event at the university which was a Practical Training Program: ‘English Language Development for Classroom Communication.’ This event received excellent support from Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, in facilitating the participation of 40 personnel in the training.
          The implementation of the Practical Training Program: ‘English Language Development for Classroom Communication’ aims to promote education personnel’s listening and speaking skills in English confidently and correctly in the classroom. Also, it aims to foster a positive attitude towards the English language and provide opportunities to practice English language skills with experts from the English Language Department of the Education Program, School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University.
          For the activities of the program, there are two lecture topics: ‘Grammar for Teaching and Communication’ and ‘Tools and Languages for Classroom Communication,’ along with practical activities where participants will engage in listening and speaking skill exercises, as well as presentations with feedback from the instructors, namely Mrs. Treenuch Chaowanakritsanakul and Mr. Tatchakrit Matyakhan.
          The participants in this training activity include educational supervisors, school administrators, and teachers from Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, totaling 40 individuals from 25 schools in Tha Sala District, Sichon District, and Nopphitam District.
          Following the evaluation after the completion of this event, the training participants gave positive feedback and suggestions as well as requests for additional knowledge on various topics. In this regard, The Teacher Development Unit of Walailak University will utilize this information to enhance and improve the organization of other course activities, allowing education personnel to apply them in their professional development moving forward.
