During March-April 2567, Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phuangthip Bhoopong and Asst. Prof. Issara Prachongsai, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanida Mala, Asst.Prof.Dr. Jirarat Songsri, Dr. Chutima Jansakun, and Dr. Tiwaporn Nualkaew, together with students from Medical Technology of the School of Allied Health Sciences and the Center for Academic Services team, collaborated through organizing the activities of the evaluation and screening of community health problems, initial health assessment, and technology transfers for monitoring and observing symptoms of kidney disease, gout, hepatitis B Virus Infection, Hepatitis C Virus Infection among village health volunteer leaders, the bedridden patients, and community members totaling 37 people. They communicated the health assessment results to high-risk groups to transfer knowledge about health care to community members, which was part of health outreach program activity for the community members (SDG 3) under the Ban Tha Sung Bon Project: Community Well-Being Model of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University.
The Ban Tha Sung Bon Project: Community Well-Being Model of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University focuses on promoting knowledge, technology, or innovations of health to solve community health problems and meet community needs, encouraging community participation in creating health resilience. They disseminated the outcomes from collaborative activities aligned with teaching, research, cultural preservation, and academic services in a Social Engagement format to elevate the community as a health model, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG3 “Good Health and Well-being”, promoting health and well-being among the elderly at the local community level; SDG4 “Quality Education”, providing equal and comprehensive education and promoting lifelong learning for everyone; SDG17 “Partnerships for the Goals” emphasizing collaboration with relevant networks and organizations
