Nakhon Si Thammarat – The School of Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Center for Academic Services, organized a community health education event in celebration of National Physical Therapy Day 2025 under the theme “Healthy Aging: Walk Well, Stay Sharp, Stay Safe, and Be Cheerful.” The event took place at Tha Sala Subdistrict Municipality, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, on January 20, 2025.
The event featured a variety of activities aimed at promoting the well-being of the elderly and the general public in the local community. These activities included health education lectures, movement-enhancing exercises, physical therapy screenings, and exhibitions showcasing health-related products and knowledge. Some highlights included torch ginger herbal tea, Plai massage oil, and Marching in Place exercises specifically designed for individuals with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The event received enthusiastic participation from the elderly and community members, particularly in the massage therapy sessions using Plai massage oil, which were provided by students from the School of Allied Health Sciences. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to receive expert physical therapy advice to help them maintain proper self-care and improve their overall health.
