THA SALA, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 28–29 August 2025 — Walailak University, through the collaboration of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sudthipan Dhirapongse and Ms. Nuchada Phatpharuethanon from the School of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wannisa Kumban from the School of Allied Health Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wararat Whanchit from the School of Liberal Arts, together with staff from the Center for Academic Services, organized educational activities to enhance early childhood education through interdisciplinary engagement at Satit Walailak Pattana Community Early Childhood Development Center and Wat Koklek Early Childhood Development Center.
The program focused on evaluating the Executive Functions (EF) and motor skills of children at the centers. Assessments were carried out in three areas:
These activities were designed to strengthen EF skills and motor development, fostering appropriate growth in children’s cognitive, emotional, and social domains. At the same time, they raised awareness of the importance of early childhood development as a foundation for family well-being.
The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. It highlights the active participation of communities, local organizations, and educational institutions in continuously improving quality of life in a sustainable manner. Furthermore, it contributes to Walailak University’s “WU Happy Tree” model under the health dimension and aligns with the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (ED5) on education.
