Walailak University Hospital organized the World AIDS Day 2024 event from 2–4 December 2024 at Lecture Building 6. The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Kamlai Somrak, Vice Director of the hospital. The event drew the attention of more than 1,070 participants, including students, staff, and members of the public.

The activities featured included a knowledge-sharing seminar, free HIV screening, an educational exhibition on AIDS, and a short video contest. The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of AIDS prevention and received highly positive feedback from participants.
