On 11 January 2024, the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University, held a meeting to discuss the design of a walkway connecting the WU Thai Southern Arts and Culture Learning Center to the Tumpang Archaeological Site. The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Urai Jaraeprapal, Vice President of Walailak University, together with Dr. Phorntham Thammavimon, Senior Landscape Architect from the Office of Architecture, Fine Arts Department; Mrs. Sermkit Chaimongkol, Director of the 12th Regional Office of Fine Arts, Nakhon Si Thammarat; Mr. Watchara Matsame, Senior Art Officer; Ms. Siriwan Thongkham, Senior Archaeologist; and Mr. Sontaya Kongchai, Acting Head of Building and Facilities Division.

The path will be paved with paving blocks in accordance with the Fine Arts Department’s conservation principles. In addition, the design of the roof covering the archaeological structure will be adjusted to harmonize with the original surroundings.
The WU Thai Southern Arts and Culture Learning Center will serve as a building, museum, exhibition spaces and galleries, and works of art and artefacts, providing free access to students, staff, and the general public, in support of the SDGs, particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
