WU and Pak Phaya School Join Hands to Restore Mangroves and Release Blue Swimming Crabs for Marine Conservation

On Wednesday, 4 September 2024, students from the School of Science (Marine Science), Walailak University, together with students from Pak Phaya School, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, participated in an activity to plant mangroves and release blue swimming crabs as part of a community-based environmental restoration project.

The event aimed to restore and conserve mangrove forests and marine crab resources while fostering environmental awareness among young participants. In addition to contributing to the protection of natural ecosystems, the activity also encouraged students to develop teamwork, responsibility, and volunteer spirit, reflecting Walailak University’s commitment to supporting and organizing events aimed at promoting conservation and sustainable utilization of the oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, and marine resources.
