THA SALA, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 27 August 2026 — Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wararat Whanchit, visited Wat Koklek Early Childhood Development Center to follow up on and report the progress of the English Skills Development for Education and Community Careers Activity. The initiative aims to enhance teachers’ English language skills and support their application in learning activities for young children.
During the visit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wararat Whanchit followed up on the progress of the activity and presented English-language video materials developed through field visits and interviews with teachers. The videos feature stories about daily routines, learning activities, childcare practices, and learning experiences within the context of the Early Childhood Development Center. They incorporate English communication, key vocabulary and expressions, together with Thai translations, allowing teachers to watch and review the materials at their convenience.
Teachers were also invited to watch the videos, exchange views, and provide feedback on their additional English language needs. Their input will be used to further develop English-language manuals and learning materials that teachers can study and apply in organizing learning activities for young children on an ongoing basis.
The activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as well as the Education dimension of the WU HAPPY TREE framework, which promotes learning and sustainable capacity development within communities.
