Economic and Social Upgrading Ready to develop export quality safe grapefruit production standards with a low-cost smart agriculture system (Khlong Noi sub-district, Pak Phanang district of Nakhon Si Thammarat province) Project leads by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warin Intana, Walailak University is a project that brings innovative bio-killing products against 3 types of fungi, namely 1. Trichoderma NST-009 that is highly effective in controlling various plant diseases. 2. Beauveria sp. and 3. Metharhizium sp. fungi are highly effective in controlling insect pests. By transferring the technology to the production process of each type of fungi. The most effective use of pest control, management of soil quality to be suitable for planting. as well as to find ways to reduce costs and increase the value of crops for 80 farmers, covering the area of Khlong Noi Subdistrict, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, including the group of pomelo growers “Tubtim Siam” in order to obtain quality produce that meets agricultural safety standards.
This project brings higher economic value. Increase crop yields, increase revenues and reduce the cost of using pesticides. Reduce chemical contamination in farmers and increase employment in the community improve the quality of life of farmers.
This project increases the sustainability of 545 rai of agricultural land in Khlong Noi Subdistrict, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It save the ecosystem and help improve soil quality, resulting in grapefruit yields of higher quality and quantity. Reduce chemical contamination in grapefruit, enabling more exports.
Biological disease and pest control tested and confirmed to be harmless to humans, animals, cultivated plants and the environment. as well as reducing the amount of pesticide residues in the soil in the produce, making it safe for the environment. Farmers, producers and consumers.
This project aims to produce high quality grapefruit with good pest management. Comprehensive sustainability Help farmers to have the ability to grow more crops. Product quality certified and develop an efficient business plan management system to lead to community enterprises.
This project by the School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry, Walailak University has cooperated with the local government organization in Khlong Noi Subdistrict, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province Transfer of knowledge on the use of biological products for disease and pest control.
