Walailak University Promoting Vocational Training Events for Local Residents

Walailak university supports every educational model, including ones outside the basic system. Due to a fair amount of unemployment rate in local residents, vocational training events were held at Walailak university in 2021. The training courses provided short-term education programmes for communities to increase the employment rate and number of skilled workers. The courses were designed to focus on field-practice with flexibility on time and content of the course. There were two main courses that opened in 2021:
- Business Profession and Entrepreneur Course by Science and Technology Park, Walailak university
The course was designed to elevate business and quality of products with science, research, and innovation by professionals, academics, and entrepreneurs. There were two sub courses:
- Making berry ice cream course: Instructed by academics from school of management, Walailak university to Ban Suan Valley community enterprise group, Tha Sala, Nakhon Si Thammarat. Focused on improving and improving ice cream products.
- Processing rice into products: Instructed by academics from school of agricultural technology and food industry, Walailak university to entrepreneurs that interested. Focused on basis of rice, processing methods, and exchanging experiences.
- Teaching Course by the Center for Academic Service, Walailak University
Instructed by academics from English department, school of liberal arts, Walailak university to school executives, teachers, and education personnel under Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 4. The course focused on basic use of communication English and online teaching to ensure that participants could communicate and understand English on basic levels, have positive mindsets on English, and improve the use English on daily basis.
