WU provides Scholarships for Students from Low and Low-middle Income Countries

In 2021, the College of Graduate Studies at Walailak University provided scholarships to complete their university graduation for 134 international students from low and low-middle-income countries, namely Cambodia, China, the Philippines, Iran, Kenya, Burma, Nigeria, Somalia, Sri Lanka, East Timor, Vietnam, and Zambia. Types of scholarships for international students include bachelor’s scholarships, master’s scholarships, and PhD scholarships.

Master Scholarships

This scholarship is categorized into 3 types:

  1. Partial tuition fee waiver scholarships provided to 63 students
  2. Full Master’s Degree Excellence Scholarships provided to 12 students
  3. Government scholarships provided to 3 students

PhD Scholarships

PhD scholarship is categorized into 5 types:

  1. Partial tuition fee waiver scholarships provided to 25 students
  2. Scholarships for High Potential Candidates to Enroll in Doctoral Programs provided to 18 students
  3. Full PhD Degree Excellence Scholarships provided to 10 students
  4. Project-based research scholarships provided to 3 students
  5. Business Administration Scholarships provided to 39 Chinese students

Furthermore, in 2021, several scholarships were provided by Walailak University International College to 13 students from countries, namely Papua New Guinea, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Somalia, Kenya, the Philippines, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan, and Pakistan.
