The activity is one of the projects “ Improving the quality of fishery goods by using technology and innovation ” is developed a project between Nakhon Si Thammarat Fisheries Provincial Office and Walailk University, served as a consultant in transferring the use of technology to the community with sub-activities. The province supported the fund and build on from “The tilapia farm village within the standard” which operated continuously since 2016-2017 supported by the Ministry of Science and technology. By Asst. Prof. Dr. Puan Pengseng who is the director of the project, school of Agricultural Technology and food industry, Walailak University, and Miss Pethlada Damrak is the head of the village. In 2017, the village became the prototype village of using science and Technology.

Encouraging farmers of the Pak Phanang Basin raising tilapia farmers network to gather into the large-scale which strengthen to agriculturists, cost reduction and promoting cultivated form towards GAP standard, increasing the ability in competition throughout building tilapia farmer networks in the same province and the nation.

This is a successful tilapia production to optimize the large-scale system illustrating sustainable growth of Thai fisheries to be applied for economic development and sustainable society.
