Integrated Subdistrict Economic and Social Upgrading Project by University to Tambon: U2T

The COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic, is a global economic problem with rising unemployment rates in many countries, and not only new graduates aren’t finding careers, but students who have an online learning problem. A large number of unemployed people return to their homes due to social problems. The country’s economic and social rehabilitation policies focus on developing the local economy, such as creating jobs and developing careers for people to be more self-reliant. The Thai government is concerned about the unemployment rates of new graduates, so they have a University to Tambon Project (U2T) to hire them and develop their 4 skills, such as digital, financial, social, and English language with another skill in work. The government has prepared the integration for 2 levels; Regional System Integrator and National System Integrator by institutions responsible for the Higher Education Network, Eastern Region, 10 institutions, e.g., Upper Northern Region, Northern Region, Lower Northern Region, Upper Northeastern Region, Lower Northeastern Region, Upper Central Region, Lower Central Region, Eastern Region, Upper Southern Region, and Lower Southern Region have an important role as regional system integrators in local communities by using project resources together, sharing the knowledge and technology, and value chain of produce and services such as production, food processing, product distribution, consumption of goods and services; and the tourism industry in local The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation cooperated with the Office of the National Economics and Social Development Council and related agencies to integrate the overview of information, impact assessment, and analyze the large amount of local community information for the purpose of issuing policy and strategy to decrease the targeted poverty alleviation.
Walailak University cooperated with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation to implement the University to Tambon Project. Wallailak University recruit people to hire for this project between 11-31 December, 2564 cover 36 Tambon; 2 Tambon at Krabi, 1 Tambon at Chumphon, 26 Tambon at Nakorn Si Thammarat, and 7 Tambon at Surat Thani for 720 positions for increase product value and people’s earnings in the community such as food processing, give the knowledge to develop the product, etc.
