Building standards to minimise water use

Walailak University maintains appropriate building standards to minimise water use. This includes the installation of water-saving sanitary ware in all new buildings, such as the Cooperative Education Building, ST Building and Lecture Building 6 or Other Building. Automatic sensor faucets have been installed to replace manual faucets, allowing for better control of water flow and usage restrictions.

In addition, the university also employs efficient water-saving equipment. This involves the method of placing empty 1.5-liter water bottles inside the toilet cisterns to increase the empty space within the cistern, allowing for more storage capacity. This method can reduce water usage by 97%. It has been implemented for 1,769 units out of 1,824 units (all toilets across the university).
