Walailak University Renovating Daeng Temple for Promoting SDG 11 in Preserving Local Culture

The target group consisted of 40 people, including:
1. Students: 30 people
2. Staff: 10 people
Total hours of the activity: 20 hours

Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Tanasun Tapparut from the School of Architecture and Design and the Center for Academic Services, partnered with Phra Ajahn Wichian Phromwisut to renovate Daeng Temple in Chian Yai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
As part of the collaboration, WU students and local community members worked together to inspect the donated roofs from Wat Phuttha Sima, ensuring their suitability for the temple renovation.
This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by contributing to the preservation and enhancement of cultural and religious sites. It also promotes SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening cooperation between academic institutions, religious organizations, and local communities.
