Awards

Walailak University received two prestigious international awards from the Global Good Governance Awards (3G Awards) 2025, organized by Cambridge IFA International Financial Advisory, United Kingdom.

The awards include the 3G Championship Award for Sustainable Development 2025 and the 3G Excellence Award for Green Campus 2025, recognizing the university’s outstanding achievements in driving sustainable development and promoting its role as a green university.

In conclusion, the Center for Academic Services (CAS) serves as the operational hub for sustainability at Walailak University, leading the planning, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives that support the university’s sustainability goals and SDG commitments. It is a unit formally established by university decree, with a clear structure and responsibilities, fully operational, and playing a leading role in the implementation of sustainability and SDG initiatives across the university.

The primary functions of the center encompass the formulation of sustainability strategies, the orchestration of projects focused on environmental stewardship, and the promotion of sustainable practices among faculty, staff, and students. Noteworthy initiatives include the organization of workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns aimed at educating the university community on critical sustainability issues such as waste reduction, energy conservation, carbon footprint assessment, greenhouse gas emission mitigation measures, and biodiversity enhancement.
