Achieving success in improving health and well-being outcomes, Walailak University possesses the capacity and readiness in terms of personnel, knowledge, and resources to operate effectively. However, placing emphasis on collaboration with health institutions at the local, national, and global levels is another crucial approach that helps strengthen operational capacity, foster the integration of knowledge, diagnostic and health innovations, and promote community engagement. Altogether, these efforts will lead to more effective, measurable, and sustainable outcomes.

Consequently, WU plays a crucial role in improving health and well-being outcomes, developing and promoting public health through collaborations with health institutions at local, national, and global levels. These partnerships not only enhance the capabilities and development of medical professionals and students but also elevate healthcare standards, strengthen diagnostic and measurement systems, and create a positive impact on healthcare services at a broader scale.

In 2024, Walailak University established health collaborations with over 100 local health institutions to enhance knowledge and strengthen the capacity of medical personnel, students, and the community. These collaborations encompassed teaching and learning, research activities, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), study visits, and the provision of practical training sites for nursing education.

WU has established collaborations with local health institutions to enhance knowledge and develop the capacities of medical personnel, students, and communities. The university has received collaboration from 14 hospitals in organizing professional training for fourth-year Thai Traditional Medicine students across southern, eastern, and northeastern regions of Thailand. This initiative allows students to integrate their knowledge with real-world clinical experiences in diverse settings.
