Vocational Training Event Provision at WU:  Empowering Young Smart Farmers

Walailak University places importance on enhancing population in surrounding WU Community to provide knowledge, abilities, and skills for employment, address unemployment issues, and promote economic empowerment in the community. Consequently, the vocational training event is hosted at Walailak University; Walailak University collaborates with the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, to organize the ‘Smart Farmer New Generation, 3rd Generation’ to transfer agricultural system management knowledge to the new era of farmers.

In this vocational event, Experts from various departments within Walailak University provided training in plant field management, plant diseases, livestock management and modern marketing. During the event, more than 100 agricultural participants attended sessions on a variety of topics including:

  1. Plant disease management for sustainable income generation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warin Intana
  2. New era marketing for modern farmers by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp
  3. Livestock management for career development by Dr. Jindarha Prampramote
  4. Management of fruit tree plots for building careers by agricultural development experts at the Center for Smart Farm

Moreover, they also visited the orchards at the Center for Smart Farm.
