Walailak University Lifelong Learning Policy for InclusiveAccess to Knowledge and Activities

Walailak University has a policy titled ‘Announcement of Walailak University Subject: Walailak University Lifelong Learning Policy’ to ensure that everyone have access to knowledge provided and activities available on campus,, regardless of ethnicity, religion, physical condition, immigration status, and gender. This policy promotes lifelong learning and places importance on comprehensive targets and efficient learners to access university knowledge and activities:

Children and Youth: Walailak University, through Walailak University International College (WUIC), organizes the WUIC English and Cultural Camp, with a total of 46 participants from secondary education  (Grade 12 students). This project aligns with the university’s lifelong learning policy and aims to provide academic and social skills to the participants. The activities include selecting the right program of study, choosing a favorite university, preparing a portfolio in English, getting ready for interviews in both Thai and English, and learning information about Walailak University, its faculties, and various programs. These opportunities will be beneficial for students when applying for higher education in the future. Additionally, they have a chance to engage in cultural exchanges and learn from international professors and students at the  International College.

Communities: Walailak University is developing short-term vocational training programs open to the general public. These programs are designed to emphasize hands-on learning and offer flexible structures in terms of both content and schedule. Participants can apply the knowledge and experiences gained in their daily lives. These programs include:

  1. Business and Entrepreneurship Vocational Courses
  2. Training activities that convey knowledge and technology
  3. Training activities that provide knowledge, promote development and enhance vocational skills for the local community surrounding the university

These programs aim to provide opportunities for people to acquire practical skills and knowledge applicable to their daily lives and work.
