Number of initiatives to decrease private vehicles on campus (TR.7)

Walking Activities

           The university encourages walking for short distances to reduce vehicle use and promote health among students and staff, fostering a culture of walking within the campus.

Bike Share Program

            The university supports cycling for short-distance travel by providing safe biking paths. This initiative aims to reduce the reliance on private vehicles while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Electric Shuttle Bus Service

            The university operates an electric shuttle bus service with five routes covering the entire campus from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, facilitating convenient transportation for students and staff.

Bus Service for Staff

            The university encourages staff to commute to work or participate in activities using the bus service, which offers four routes throughout the campus. Additionally, staff residing in university-provided housing can use the electric shuttle buses for their commutes.

Pedestrian Pathways Connecting Campus Buildings

            The university has established a pathway known as the “Cover Walked Way” to support walking and cycling, providing easy access between different buildings on campus.

Policy to Reduce Vehicle Use Among First-Year Students

           The university has implemented a policy encouraging first-year students to use electric motorcycles for transportation. Electric motorcycles and charging stations are available throughout the campus for their convenience.
