Number of sustainability community services project organised and/or involving students
Walailak University has actively engaged in 170 sustainability community service projects, significantly involving students. These initiatives encompass a variety of activities aimed at promoting sustainable development and community well-being. Notable examples include the development of low-carbon tourism routes in collaboration with local coastal communities, waste segregation initiatives to reduce environmental impact, and educational outreach programs to enhance STEM education for local schoolchildren. Additionally, health promotion projects target underprivileged groups and refugees, integrating health assessments and support strategies. Through these efforts, the university exemplifies its commitment to sustainability and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in quality education and community partnerships.
