Walailak University, represented by Dr. Kanokwan Meesook, Mr. Watcharawat Promma, and Miss Praphada Srisuwan from the School of Accountancy and Finance, along with Miss Amonrat Ammartsena from the School of Law, organized a meeting with Phra Kru Promkatkanarak and temple staff to discuss and refine the draft temple regulation. The discussion aimed to align the regulations with the temple’s specific context while promoting effective governance.
Following the meeting, the faculty members visited Jantaram Temple, where they engaged with Phra Palad Suthammarat Sujino to gather data on the temple’s accounting and regulatory framework. This information will be used to support the implementation of the “Temple Administration Aligning with Good Governance” project.
The project is a collaboration between Walailak University, the Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives, and the Foundation for Public Policy and Good Governance, with funding from the Thai CG Fund. It seeks to align Buddhist temple administration with the nine principles of good governance established by the foundation. Through this initiative, Walailak University will provide guidance and support to help temples fully integrate transparent and ethical management practices.
