Walailak University, represented by Miss Amonrat Ammartsena from the School of Law, Mrs. Preeda Chotechuang from the Internal Audit Unit, Dr. Naparat Chookead from the School of Informatics, and Miss Alisara Saramolee from the School of Accountancy and Finance, held meetings with representatives from Wang Tawan Tok Temple to present and refine draft temple regulations in alignment with Buddhist principles.

The proposed regulations cover the following areas:
• Order of the Abbot of Wang Tawan Tok Temple No. 1/2567 on the Appointment of the Wat Wang Tawan Committee B.E. 2567
• Announcement of Wang Tawan Tok Temple on the Main Policies for Temple Development B.E. 2566
• Announcement of Wang Tawan Tok Temple on Guidelines for Information Disclosure in Accordance with the Principles of Good Governance
• Announcement of Wang Tawan Tok Temple on the Wat Wang Tawan Committee

As part of the initiative, Walailak University developed an information system to enhance the temple’s public communications and transparency. For internal audits, the university provided guidance on best practices, including financial statement reporting. Additionally, an accounting system handbook and flowchart were designed to align with the temple’s activities. Wang Tawan Tok Temple is being developed as a pilot model for good governance in temple administration.

This initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by promoting learning in governance and administration, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by fostering well-managed religious institutions, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening collaborations for sustainable development.
