On January 25, 2025, the School of Languages and General Education (SOLGEN), in collaboration with the Lions Club Japan and partner networks, organized the activity “From the Coast to Change” at Ban Sra Bua, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

This activity aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and climate change, particularly focusing on the coastal and mangrove ecosystems. These ecosystems serve as vital habitats for diverse plant and animal species. Additionally, the activity provided educational insights into the importance of coastal ecosystems in maintaining natural balance and pollution control. These ecosystems play a crucial role in environmental conservation and mitigating climate change.

The activity received strong support from Prof. Shigeru Kato, President of the Lions Club Tachibana, Japan, along with various partner organizations, including Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Nakhon Si Thammarat, Tha Sala Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and students from Walailak University. The event was also attended by university executives, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Kannika Thongkhao, Acting Deputy Dean; Ms. Pavirasa Praditsorn, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Affairs; Asst.
