Sustainability and Stewardship Walailak University’s Contribution to Arts and Heritage through Public Performances Walailak University remains committed to serving as a cultural hub by engaging communities in the preservation, promotion, and revitalization of cultural traditions, fine arts, and applied arts. Guided by its 20-year Strategic Plan (B.E. 2561–2580), the University places strong emphasis on research, academic services, and cultural heritage preservation as important contributions to national development. In 2024, Walailak University collaborated with a wide range of internal and external partners to implement more than 30 arts and cultural programs. The university placed particular emphasis on the active promotion of good mental health, extending beyond assistance during mental health problems or crises to include preventive measures, early identification of mental health risks, screening, counselling, initial psychological support, specialist care, referral services, and continuous follow-up. The policy, **reviewed and updated in 2024**, reinforces the university's commitment to maintaining a smoke-free environment across its campus. It includes measures to protect non-smokers from secondhand smoke, prohibit smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes (vaping), promote awareness of the health risks associated with tobacco use, and establish disciplinary measures for policy violations. Sustainability and Stewardship Walailak University Creates a Healthy Workplace that Promotes Staff Mental Health and Well-being In 2025, Walailak University (WU) recognised that good mental health is essential to quality of life, positive workplace relationships, and effective work performance. The university therefore provided staff with access to mental health support, placing particular emphasis on the active promotion of good mental health among faculty members and staff.
