Transportation (TR)         Walailak University has designated parking areas accounting for less than one percent of the university’s total area. This is in line with the university’s policy to reduce the use of private vehicles and to promote the adoption of electric shuttle services for students and staff instead. Consequently, certain parking areas have been repurposed into spaces for student extracurricular activities and community engagement. Examples include the “Open World of Activities” event in 2025, where a parking area was transformed into the Next Gen Learning Building; the weekly “Jan Pradu Market” held every Monday evening at the parking lot near academic buildings; the BOTA Market organized every Thursday; outdoor movie screenings at the Botanical Garden parking area; and the Khlong Din Market held every Tuesday. The service covers both on-campus routes and surrounding areas, connecting major destinations such as educational and academic buildings, student and staff residential zones, sports complexes, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital, the central library, the university park, and nearby shopping centers. The service follows a pre-scheduled timetable and connects key locations across campus, including dormitories, academic buildings, and popular off-campus areas. Each shuttle is equipped with comfortable seating and free Wi-Fi, allowing passengers to study or relax during their commute. Accessibility features are also included to ensure that all members of the university community can use the service.         Real-time tracking is available via a mobile application, allowing users to monitor shuttle locations and estimated arrival times. The university has secured funding to establish a nature and ecological museum dedicated to the Plant Genetic Conservation Project, an initiative under the esteemed royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This endeavor aims to facilitate study and research while conserving the diverse plant and flower species indigenous to southern Thailand.
